What a Week for Writers

It's only Wednesday and already it's been quite a week.  Writing deadlines to meet with no ideas forthcoming.  Writing opportunities where the only rule is that they change frequently with no notice.  Hoop and hurdle jumping competitions becoming major events that require perseverance and stamina (sense of humor helps too).

Such is the life of a freelance writer.

Friday, April 1 is the day many of us writers will be told what new opportunities will be available to us;  it's been a tenuous ordeal and the application process daunting.  On the up side, Friday also brings the kickoff of the blogging challenge that should add a bit of fun to the month.  The challenge will be - well, challenging, but I'm also going to use it as an opportunity to take a step back from some of the other more mundane challenges in my life right now.  You won't see any Pulitzer material coming from the fingers tapping on this keyboard, but I hope at least some of my posts will bring a smile here and there.

Hang in there with me ... Friday's coming.
