The dishwasher didn't work when I bought this house and the contractors removed it when they did some work in the kitchen. I wish they hadn't because I wasn't prepared to buy a new dishwasher at that time. I rarely use the dishwasher since I don't do a lot of cooking, so here it is almost two years later and I still have this gaping hole in my kitchen where a dishwasher belongs. I just couldn't justify the expense when I have so many other things that need to be fixed around here.
I've tried tacking a cloth to the front of it. Didn't work well. I've asked about putting a shelf and a make-shift door and was told it would take some doing to make it look right, and would probably cost me near as much as a cheap dishwasher.
I'm tired of looking at that hole.
My semi-long term goal is to lose 25 lbs by May 31st, but I'm giving myself a mini-goal to keep me moving in that direction. When I hit the 170 mark, that hole will be GONE. I'm hoping it will be just a few weeks, and maybe by then the stores will be having good sales to lure in customers with income tax refund money to spend.
I've hooked up with Theresa over at Baby Steps to a Fitter Me, so stop on over to see who else is on board for Motivational Monday. You can even jump on the train yourself by linking to your blog post on what's motivating you this week. (It doesn't have to be diet/weight loss related).

Good luck on the diet. Or, way of life is more like it. The word "diet" stinks. I still have discount Christmas candy though :)
Very impressive weight loss, Marie!
