Going Home

It's Sat morning, shortly before 6 a.m. and I'm packing for a trip home.

Mom is in the end stages of COPD/emphysema and has taken a turn for the worse. I will be flying home this morning and would ask for prayer for traveling mercies, for Mom's comfort, and the family to come together during this trying time.

I don't know when I'll be back and probably won't be blogging while I'm gone. If I could leave you with one thought today it would be ...

If you don't smoke, don't start.
If you do smoke, QUIT

Thanks so much for the advice, my uncle was diagnosed this week with throat cancer because of smoking and this post has been the 7th thing today I have seen talking about quitting smoking. I think God is trying to tell me something. SO now to make a plan. I am praying so much for you and your family. Have a safe trip and know that God loves you.

I'm so sorry to read of this. Posts don't seem to be updating right for me so I just now saw this. I'm so sorry she's been suffering--I know what it's like to lose a parent to cancer.
