I decided to stop in at Walgreens today to see what I could pick up using my RR. I didn't see too much from next week's sales that I'd want later in the week, so I wanted to use up some of my RR before they expired. I had a $10 RR and $4 RR from the fish oil and Garnier Fructis shampoo I bought last week, so needed to get as little over $14 as I could.
Maxwell House coffee was on sale for $6.49 (regularly $15.99 - no way I'd pay that!) with a limit of two, so I grabbed two of those. I don't even drink coffee at home but I like to have some in the house 'just in case'. I also have someone I'll gift one of them to.
I still needed something for $1.02 to use up my RR (you can't get change). I remembered the Walgreens candy was still on sale for .49 (regularly .99), so I grabbed three of those for $1.47.
Coffee $6.49 x 2 = $12.98
Candy .49 x 3 = $1.47
Total = $14.45
RR = $14.00
Total OOP = .45
Not bad! Two large cans of coffee and three bags of candy for less than fifty cents. I could get used to this!
RR = Register Rewards (Walgreens money good on future purchase)
OOP - Out of Pocket (money I actually paid after sales/coupons/RR)

Good job Marie, Never to much coffee.
Great deal for you!
I hardly ever shop at Walgreen's since they rarely have anything I want or need on sale. You cleaned up though. Great job!
I think most stores inflate regular prices on sale days to make it appear like we're saving more. $15+ for maxwell house is insane!
