V-day on the A-Z Blogging Challenge brought two things to mind - veterans and vanilla wafers.
Veterans are special to me because I know all too well the sacrifices they've made. I had brothers, uncles and cousins who served in Korea, WWII and VietNam, and of course I served also, retiring from the Marine Corps after more than 21 years. It didn't stop with my generation, as my younger son also followed his SgtMaj father and I and served three tours in Iraq as an Infantry Squad Leader.
May God richly bless all of them.
I've shared a few articles I penned about veterans in the past, but I think they deserve another mention on V-day.

Women Veterans Accepted By Peers, Still Treated Differently
And just because this veteran loves vanilla wafers, I'll point you to my favorite way to eat them, with my Simply Sweet Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball. Yum!

Thank you for your service!
Thank you for your service and that of your family. God Bless you all.
These are two really great V words. Thanks.
Indeed, may God richly bless all of them. Thank you and your long line of family members who served.
Look how cute you are in that pic!
May each and every one come home safely, and peace prevent any more from needing to put themselves in harm's way.
I’m A-Z Blogging, and my “V” post is right here.
