I'm ecstatic, to say the least. I've lost this weight without exercise, without pills, without counting calories. I'm eating enough that I don't feel deprived, and I've lowered my cholesterol by 40 pts in the first seven weeks. I'm sure it's even lower now, but I won't have it tested again for at least another month or two.
I've had a true carb addiction for years and I am now in recovery. Yes, it's an addiction in the same manner as a junkie with drugs, alcoholic with booze or smoker with cigarettes. I've kicked the habit, but I have to be careful not to fall into that pit again.
You can read about my walk away from leptin resistance here. Now that I've hit the 30 lb mark, I need to write another installment on that journey.
My scale is no longer my enemy.

Very interesting stuff, Marie Anne. I read your associated content article and loved it, and am doing a bit more research. I believe I'm going to order the book from Amazon. I could have written parts of your story--not seeing 100 lbs. as a young adult, struggling with weight as I've hit middle age, elevated cholesterol, etc...
Hope you are having a good Monday☺
